About pprep

A gentle learning lab for curious little minds.

pprep started as a project for Ayana: a calm, parent-led way to support Maths, English, Science and wider curiosity through short, target-based activities. Created by Dr Tasnimah, Dr Zamiel and Dr Kamal, pprep was built from a shared belief that children learn best when they feel confident, curious and supported. Each activity is designed to strengthen understanding, encourage careful thinking and keep learning joyful.

Mission statement

pprep exists to help young learners build confidence, curiosity and strong foundations through short, thoughtful learning adventures. Created first for Ayana, pprep is a calm, parent-led space for practising Maths, English, Science and wider thinking skills without pressure, noise or comparison. Each activity is designed to strengthen core skills, encourage careful reasoning and keep learning joyful. Our aim is simple: little targets, big curiosity.

Purpose

Built for depth, confidence and curiosity.

The aim is simple: help bright early learners practise core skills, stretch thinking gently and keep learning joyful.

Target-based, not timetable-based

pprep focuses on learning targets rather than daily streaks or rigid weekly pressure. A child can revisit, practise or stretch when the moment feels right.

Gentle stretch

pprep stretches thinking gently, with questions that encourage reasoning, careful reading and confident explanation without pressure or comparison.

Private by design

pprep is parent-led and deliberately simple. There are no public profiles, child chat, leaderboards or social features.

Joyful, not noisy

The design uses calm visuals, nature-led worlds and light rewards, avoiding pressure mechanics or over-stimulating game loops.

The worlds

Four simple doors into learning.

The app keeps the child-facing experience simple: choose a world, open a target and complete a short structured activity.

Maths Mountain

Number bonds, addition, subtraction, place value, word problems and reasoning.

Word Garden

Common exception words, punctuation, comprehension, sequencing and stronger sentences.

Pond Lab

Plants, habitats, seasons, materials, observation and simple parent-led experiments.

Curiosity Quests

Logic, stories, creativity, French, kindness, body confidence and wider exploration.

Safety and learning design

Structured answers. Parent-led reflection.

pprep is intentionally designed without child-facing open text boxes, chat or public sharing. Creative answers can happen aloud, on paper or through parent-marked prompts.
